Sage 200 Software
Lifecycle Policy
If you want to find out more about what Pinnacle
Data Analytics can do, then join me for an online
demonstration, we run regular sessions and you’ll
have the opportunity to ask any questions about the
solution.
What does it mean?
It’s standard industry practice nowadays for
technology companies to withdraw support for
older versions of software, and Sage have a software
lifecycle policy in place to formalise their procedure
of withdrawing support for software versions that
use technology that is no longer supported by the
provider – an example of this is Microsoft Windows XP.
Sage continually invest in research and development
to improve their software and services. They do this in
line with regular customer feedback and to take into
account new technology and changes in legislation.
They also want to ensure that they continue to offer
the best level of support to Business Partners and in
turn customers.
This doesn’t mean the software will stop working.
However, as Sage will no longer offer technical
support to their Business Partners, we will continue
to support your software, but we have to advise you
that it would be on a best endeavours basis. Once
support is withdrawn by Sage, we’ll no longer be
able to work with their support teams should there
be any technical issues that relate to errors within the
application, it’s database or it’s code.
Sage will no longer provide service packs or feature
changes to the software, or issue any updates to
cover legislation changes.
You’ll also no longer be able to add additional
users or modules to your solution, or purchase
complementary products which would enhance
functionality. You should also consider that there
would be no updates to support the latest Microsoft
operating system and Office versions and the impact
that may have on your business.
